"A live-by-faith, work-for-God-not-money Christian community. We distribute Bible-based comics, videos, CDs, novels, and other tracts, and do free (voluntary) work. We are against hypocrisy and self-righteousness in the church; and we are in favour of honesty, humility and love."

Below are some areas where we can constantly work on improving our discipline. You will see that they cover all of our life and everything that we do.

1. Ephesians 5:16, Colossians 4:5 Don't waste time. Time is life; if we waste it, we are wasting our lives. That is slow 'suicide'. God wants us to use each moment wisely.

2. 1 Thessalonians 4:11 Practice being quiet. Because there are a lot of us living in one place, it is important that we keep all conversation to a minimum. Unnecessary conversation will distract others (including ourselves) from the jobs we have to do.

3. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Never stop praying. Prayer is not a ritual; it is a relationship, and the most important part of it is listening. We should be open to God speaking to us at any time (even in our sleep).

4. 1 Corinthians 10:31, Colossians 3:17 Do every word and action for God's glory. Life is so short that we cannot afford to waste it on trivial pursuits. Even our recreation can be done to the glory of God if we ask God for his direction in all that we do.

5. 2 Timothy 2:15 Study, so that you can learn to recognise truth. We need to spend time studying the teachings of Jesus. But we should also study what is happening around us, in order to recognise lessons coming from God through others and through circumstances.

6. Luke 16:10 Be faithful with little things. Faithfulness should extend to everything that we do, so that even the most insignificant task will be done as a service to God, who sees all that we do, and rewards us accordingly.

7. Revelation 3:16 God hates lukewarmness. God wants us to be red hot and enthusiastic about all that we do for him. He hates lukewarm faith, and we should be constantly examining our faith to be sure that we are not just coasting on yesterday's leftovers. (See also Fanatical Sacrifice.)

8. Revelation 2:2-4 Get back to your first love. If we are getting away from the 'extreme' discipline that we had when we first started to follow Jesus, we should be doing all that we can to get back to it. By cutting out all extraneous activities and spending time with God, we can rediscover the 'first love' that he wants us all to have.
